Groq MCP connector

Connecting Groq to Elaichi lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client transcribe and translate audio, generate speech, run chat completions, and manage batches, files, and fine tunings, with every request logged under the person who made it.

  • How it connects. Connects with an API key. The credential goes into a vault nobody reads back.

  • One address. https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, the same for every user.

  • Their own access. An agent never gets more than the person it acts for.

How to connect

How to connect Groq to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

Two steps, about a minute.

1

In Elaichi

Connect Groq once

  1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick Groq.

  2. Optionally set Share with to give a team access, then press Connect.

  3. Paste a Groq API key. One person generates a token in Groq and pastes it once. Everyone else works through Share with, and never sees it.

The credential is vaulted. Nobody reads it back, not even the AI.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect Groq to Claude?

In Elaichi, choose Groq and paste in the API key from your Groq account. There is no OAuth application to register and no client ID or secret to generate. Then in Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste the endpoint https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Sign in with your Elaichi account and Groq is ready to use in Claude.

Does Groq work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once Groq is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client, and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Groq once and every client you use picks it up.

What can an AI agent actually do with Groq?

An agent connected to Groq can transcribe an audio recording, translate speech into English text, turn written text into spoken audio, and run chat completions or responses on a chosen model. It can also list the models available to you, upload and download files, start, check, and cancel batch jobs, and create or remove fine tunings.

Does connecting Groq give the AI everything in my Groq account?

An agent can only do what the Groq API key it was connected with is allowed to do, and Elaichi records every request under the person who made it. Elaichi can narrow that access further, for example by blocking deletions or fine tuning, but it can never widen it beyond what the Groq key already permits.

Can my team share one Groq connection?

Yes. One person connects Groq with the API key, shares the connection with a team in Elaichi, and nobody else ever sees or handles that key. Each teammate still signs in to Elaichi as themselves, so the audit log names the individual behind every Groq transcription, batch, or file change.

Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in Groq?

Yes. Restrictions in Elaichi work per action, so you can allow transcription and chat completions in Groq while blocking file deletion, fine tuning removal, or batch cancellation. A blocked action is never shown to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any other client, so no prompt can reach it.

What happens to a Groq connection when someone leaves?

Offboarding a person in Elaichi ends their access to Groq immediately, across every client they used. If they shared a Groq connection with a team, it keeps working for everyone else. Disconnecting Groq once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and every other connected client at the same time.

Does the Groq MCP connector work with Gemini, Codex, Claude Code or other MCP clients?

Yes. Groq is reached over the same MCP endpoint every client uses, so anything that speaks MCP can call it — Gemini, Codex, Claude Code, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and OpenCode among them — alongside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and the Elaichi Agent. The tools on offer and the access behind them are identical whichever client asks. Only the setup screen differs.

Is Elaichi an alternative to Zapier MCP for Groq?

Yes. Both let Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor use Groq. Zapier MCP fits a team that already automates in Zapier, since each person signs in and acts as themselves in that account. Elaichi fits when IT wants one address for the whole company, per-tool rules by role, and a record of every Groq call.

How is Elaichi different from Composio for Groq?

Composio gives AI agents tools and sign-in handling across 1,000+ apps, for developers building agents or people using an assistant, billed per tool call. Elaichi gives a company's own people governed access to Groq: one address, restrictions per role or user, and $15 per user per month. Both have role permissions and a log of every call.
