The Now Book It connector brings a venue's bookings, tables, customers, gift cards and sales into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI clients, so staff can ask about and update reservations inside their own Now Book It access.

  1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick Now Book It.

  2. Optionally set Share with to give a team access, then press Connect.

  3. Paste a Now Book It API key. One person generates a token in Now Book It and pastes it once. Everyone else works through Share with, and never sees it.

The credential is vaulted. Nobody reads it back, not even the AI.

How do I connect Now Book It to Claude?

First connect Now Book It in Elaichi by pasting in the API key from your Now Book It account. There is no OAuth application to register and no client ID or secret to generate. Then in Claude go to Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste the endpoint https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Sign in with your Elaichi account and Now Book It bookings, tables, customers and gift cards are available in Claude.

Does Now Book It work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once Now Book It is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Now Book It once and every client picks it up.

What can an AI agent actually do with my Now Book It data?

It can list the bookings for any service, look up a single booking, create a new booking or reservation, change the guest count or move a party to another table, and update a batch of bookings at once. It can read schedules, tables and booking statuses, list customers and unsubscribe them, and check, redeem or cancel gift cards. It can also list and record sales in Now Book It, and manage the webhooks your venue uses to get notified of changes.

Does connecting Now Book It give the AI access to every venue and every booking?

No. Every request runs as the person who signed in, so the AI only sees the Now Book It venues, bookings and customers that person's API key can already reach. Elaichi can narrow that access further, for example to reading bookings only, but it can never widen it beyond what Now Book It itself allows.

Can my team share one Now Book It connection?

Yes. One manager connects Now Book It with the venue's API key and shares the connection with the reservations or front of house team in Elaichi. Nobody else ever handles the key, and each person still signs in to Elaichi as themselves, so the audit log shows exactly who created or changed each booking.

Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in Now Book It?

Yes. Restrictions in Elaichi work per action, so you can allow reading Now Book It bookings and customers while blocking updates, gift card cancellations, customer unsubscribes or webhook deletion. A blocked action is never shown to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor at all, so no prompt, however worded, can reach it.

What happens to a Now Book It connection when someone leaves?

When you offboard a person in Elaichi their access to Now Book It through every AI client ends at once. If they had shared a Now Book It connection with the team, it keeps working for everyone else. If you want Now Book It gone entirely, disconnecting it once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other client together.

Does the Now Book It MCP connector work with Gemini, Codex, Claude Code or other MCP clients?

Yes. Now Book It is reached over the same MCP endpoint every client uses, so anything that speaks MCP can call it — Gemini, Codex, Claude Code, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and OpenCode among them — alongside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and the Elaichi Agent. The tools on offer and the access behind them are identical whichever client asks. Only the setup screen differs.

Is Elaichi an alternative to Zapier MCP for Now Book It?

Yes. Both let Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor use Now Book It. Zapier MCP fits a team that already automates in Zapier, since each person signs in and acts as themselves in that account. Elaichi fits when IT wants one address for the whole company, per-tool rules by role, and a record of every Now Book It call.
