RingCentral Voice MCP connector

The RingCentral Voice connector lets your team manage contact center agents, agent groups, queue assignments and user accounts from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, with every change tied to the person who made it.

  • How it connects. Connects over OAuth. The credential goes into a vault nobody reads back.

  • One address. https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, the same for every user.

  • Their own access. An agent never gets more than the person it acts for.

How to connect

How to connect RingCentral Voice to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

Two steps, about a minute.

1

In Elaichi

Connect RingCentral Voice once

  1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick RingCentral Voice.

  2. Optionally set Share with to give a team access, then press Connect.

  3. Supply your own RingCentral Voice app, then approve. RingCentral Voice needs an OAuth app you register yourself, so bring its client ID and secret. One person does this once for the organization.

The credential is vaulted. Nobody reads it back, not even the AI.

Use cases

What teams do with RingCentral Voice through Elaichi

Every one of these runs inside the access the person already has, and lands in the same audit log.

  • Support

Move agents onto the busy queue

When the morning backlog spikes, ask for the agents in the overflow group to be assigned to the billing queue in RingCentral Voice, then confirm who is now covering it.

  • Contact center operations

Set up a new hire in one go

Create the agent record, drop the person into the right agent group and assign them to their starting queues in RingCentral Voice without opening three admin screens.

  • Workforce management

Check who is assigned to each queue

Ask which agents are assigned to a given RingCentral Voice queue before a shift change, and spot gaps before the phones start ringing.

  • Sales

Rebalance the outbound team by region

Bulk update a set of RingCentral Voice agents so the EMEA callers land in the EMEA group and the right queue, and get a list back of what changed.

  • IT

Clean up user accounts and sub-accounts

List the child accounts under your RingCentral Voice organization, look up a user record, update its details or remove the account when it is no longer needed.

  • People operations

    Offboard a departing agent properly

Pull up the agent and user records for someone leaving, update their group membership and remove them from RingCentral Voice so nothing keeps routing to an empty seat.

Try asking

  • “List agents assigned to the East Coast gate this week.”
  • “Summarize call volume by agent group for July.”
  • “Which agents have no gate assignment right now.”

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect RingCentral Voice to Claude?

Connect RingCentral Voice inside Elaichi first. RingCentral Voice requires an OAuth application registered in its own developer console, so one administrator brings that application's client ID and secret into Elaichi once, then signs in through the RingCentral Voice login screen and approves access. After that, open Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste the endpoint https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Claude asks you to sign in to Elaichi, and RingCentral Voice appears with the rest of your connected applications.

Does RingCentral Voice work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once RingCentral Voice is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client and the Elaichi Agent. You connect RingCentral Voice once and every client picks it up, with the same access rules and the same audit log.

What can an AI agent actually do with my RingCentral Voice data?

An agent can list your RingCentral Voice agents and agent groups, create or update an agent, assign agents to a queue, see who is assigned to a queue today, and update several agents at once. It can also look up, update or remove user accounts and list the child accounts under your organization. Because RingCentral Voice exposes a large set of actions, short concrete asks like "assign Priya to the billing queue" work better than a long paragraph.

Does connecting RingCentral Voice give the AI access to my whole contact center?

No. Every request runs as the person who signed in to RingCentral Voice, so the AI can only see and change the agents, groups, queues and accounts that person already has rights to. Elaichi can narrow that further, for example by blocking deletions for a team, but it can never grant more than RingCentral Voice itself allows that person.

Can my team share one RingCentral Voice connection?

Yes. One administrator connects RingCentral Voice in Elaichi and shares the connection with a team, and nobody else ever handles the client ID, secret or any credential. Each teammate still signs in to Elaichi as themselves, so the audit log names the actual person who moved an agent or changed a queue assignment.

Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in RingCentral Voice?

Yes. Restrictions in Elaichi apply per action, so you can allow reading agents and queue assignments while blocking deletion of agents, groups or user accounts in RingCentral Voice. A blocked action is never shown to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other client, so no prompt, however worded, can reach it.

What happens to a RingCentral Voice connection when someone leaves?

Offboarding a person in Elaichi ends their access to RingCentral Voice through every AI client at once. If they had shared a RingCentral Voice connection with a team, it keeps working for everyone else. Disconnecting RingCentral Voice once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other client at the same time.

Does the RingCentral Voice MCP connector work with Gemini, Codex, Claude Code or other MCP clients?

Yes. RingCentral Voice is reached over the same MCP endpoint every client uses, so anything that speaks MCP can call it — Gemini, Codex, Claude Code, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and OpenCode among them — alongside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and the Elaichi Agent. The tools on offer and the access behind them are identical whichever client asks. Only the setup screen differs.

Is Elaichi an alternative to Zapier MCP for RingCentral Voice?

Yes. Both let Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor use RingCentral Voice. Zapier MCP fits a team that already automates in Zapier, since each person signs in and acts as themselves in that account. Elaichi fits when IT wants one address for the whole company, per-tool rules by role, and a record of every RingCentral Voice call.

How is Elaichi different from Composio for RingCentral Voice?

Composio gives AI agents tools and sign-in handling across 1,000+ apps, for developers building agents or people using an assistant, billed per tool call. Elaichi gives a company's own people governed access to RingCentral Voice: one address, restrictions per role or user, and $15 per user per month. Both have role permissions and a log of every call.
