Connect PayFit once

  1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick PayFit.

  2. Optionally set Share with to give a team access, then press Connect.

  3. Paste a PayFit API key. One person generates a token in PayFit and pastes it once. Everyone else works through Share with, and never sees it.

The credential is vaulted. Nobody reads it back, not even the AI.

How do I connect PayFit to Claude?

Connect PayFit in Elaichi by pasting your PayFit API key, which takes about a minute. Then open Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste the endpoint https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. There is no OAuth application to register in PayFit and no client ID or secret to generate.

Does PayFit work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once PayFit is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client and the Elaichi Agent. You connect PayFit once and every client picks it up.

What can an AI agent actually do with my PayFit data?

An agent connected to PayFit can tell you whether payroll has run, list payment files and accounting entries, look up an employee's contract and working time, and show absences and meal voucher counts. It can also create a contract, record a regularization, file a billing declaration and update health insurance or provident fund details. It reads income tax documents and other PayFit documents when you ask for them.

Does connecting PayFit give the AI access to every employee's payroll?

No. Access follows the person who signed in, so an agent working through PayFit sees only what that person's PayFit access already allows. Elaichi can narrow that further with roles and restrictions, and it never widens it.

Can my team share one PayFit connection?

Yes. One person connects PayFit in Elaichi and shares it with a team, and nobody else ever handles the API key. Each teammate still signs in as themselves, so every PayFit action in the audit log is tied to a named person.

Can I stop an agent from creating or changing things in PayFit?

Yes. Restrictions in Elaichi work per action, so you can allow reading payroll status and contracts while blocking the creation of contracts, regularizations or billing declarations in PayFit. A blocked action is never advertised to the AI client at all, so no prompt can reach it.

What happens to a PayFit connection when someone leaves?

Offboarding a person in Elaichi ends their access to PayFit through every connected client at once. A PayFit connection shared with the team keeps working for everyone else. If you want to remove PayFit entirely, disconnecting it once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other client.

Does the PayFit MCP connector work with Gemini, Codex, Claude Code or other MCP clients?

Yes. PayFit is reached over the same MCP endpoint every client uses, so anything that speaks MCP can call it — Gemini, Codex, Claude Code, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and OpenCode among them — alongside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and the Elaichi Agent. The tools on offer and the access behind them are identical whichever client asks. Only the setup screen differs.

Is Elaichi an alternative to Zapier MCP for PayFit?

Yes. Both let Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor use PayFit. Zapier MCP fits a team that already automates in Zapier, since each person signs in and acts as themselves in that account. Elaichi fits when IT wants one address for the whole company, per-tool rules by role, and a record of every PayFit call.
